This Consulate issues declarations of value for degrees obtained at Schools and Universities located in this consular jurisdiction. Once issued, the applicant can submit the declarations of value to:
– apply, with the relevant Italian Authorities, for the equivalence of primary and secondary schools with similar Italian qualifications;
– apply for enrolment in Italian schools and universities;
– apply for recognition of university studies in Italy;
– apply for scholarships in Italy.
Foreign students who wish to study in Italy can visit the website “Universitaly” for information on educational courses offered by Italian universities, Institutions of advanced artistic, musical and choreutic education (AFAM Institutions). The website, available in Italian and English, provides all the useful information for choosing the academic path and contains several sections that explain the higher education system, university enrollment procedures and useful tips on daily life and first academic and bureaucratic procedures.
The website joins the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) website “Studiare in Italia” in which every year are published the procedures for entry, stay and enrollment of international students to higher education courses at Universities and AFAM Institutions and for the registration to university admission tests. Within the website “Studiare in Italia” you can find a search engine periodically updated with the entire range of study courses offered by the Italian universities / AFAM Institutions for a total of about 5,000 courses.

STUDENTS REQUESTING PRE-ENROLMENT IN ITALIAN UNIVERSITIES AND AFAM INSTITUTIONS
According to the Italian Ministry of Education (MIUR) regulations published on the website Studiare in Italia, foreign students interested in enrolling in Italian Universities must log in to the website Universitaly in order to fill in the pre-enrolment application online.
FOR ALL STUDENTS
All students who have successfully completed the pre-enrolment procedure on the Universitaly website and who have obtained the validation from the University/AFAM, can submit the Study visa application to the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou as per instructions posted on our website at this link.
Please note that in addition to the requirements for the study visa, students must also submit the summary (Riepilogo) of the pre-enrolment application generated by the platform Universitaly and validated by the chosen University/AFAM. If requested by the University/AFAM, they also need to submit the original school/university degree, translated into Italian and apostilled and the Declaration of Value, which can be substituted by the Diploma Supplement or ENIC-NARI certificates issued by CIMEA.
