Valerio De Parolis, Console Generale d’Italia a Canton<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nato a Roma il 9 luglio 1978.<\/p>\n

Laureato in Economia e Commercio all\u2019Universit\u00e0 di Roma \u201cLa Sapienza\u201d con lode, entra in carriera diplomatica nel dicembre 2004.
\nDal 2005 al 2007 presta servizio presso la Direzione Generale per i Paesi dell\u2019Europa, con competenza sui Paesi dell\u2019Europa Occidentale.<\/p>\n

Dal gennaio 2008 all\u2019agosto 2011 \u00e8 Vice Capo Missione presso l\u2019Ambasciata d\u2019Italia ad Abidjan, in Costa d\u2019Avorio, accreditata anche in Burkina Faso, Liberia, Niger e Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n

Dall\u2019agosto 2011 al gennaio 2016 \u00e8 assegnato presso l\u2019Ambasciata d\u2019Italia a Berlino, dove svolge le funzioni di Addetto Ufficio Stampa e Cultura.<\/p>\n

Nel gennaio 2016 rientra al Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale, come Responsabile per la comunicazione digitale. In tale veste \u00e8 a capo della redazione e del coordinamento editoriale del sito del Ministero. Nel marzo 2017 viene nominato Capo Segreteria del Servizio per la Stampa e la Comunicazione Istituzionale del MAECI.<\/p>\n

Dal settembre 2018 all\u2019agosto 2022, \u00e8 Primo Consigliere e Vice Capo Missione presso l\u2019Ambasciata d\u2019Italia a Riad, in Arabia Saudita.<\/p>\n

Dal 1 settembre 2022 \u00e8 Console Generale d\u2019Italia a Canton (Guangzhou).<\/p>\n

\u00c8 stato insignito dell\u2019onorificenza di Cavaliere dell\u2019Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana.<\/p>\n

Parla inglese, francese e tedesco. \u00c8 sposato e ha un figlio.<\/p>\n

Valerio De Parolis, Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou<\/strong><\/p>\n

Born in Rome (Italy), 9 July 1978.<\/p>\n

Valerio De Parolis graduated Summa cum Laude in Economics, from \u201cLa Sapienza\u201d University in Rome in November 2002 and joined the Italian Foreign Service on December 2004.<\/p>\n

Between 2005 and 2007 he worked at the Directorate General for European Countries, as Desk Officer in charge of Western European countries.<\/p>\n

From January 2008 to August 2011 he was posted as Deputy Head of Mission to Abidjan, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, covering also Burkina Faso, Liberia, Niger and Sierra Leone.<\/p>\n

Between August 2011 and January 2016 he served at the Embassy of Italy in Berlin, Germany, as Assistant Press and Public Diplomacy Officer.<\/p>\n

In January 2016 he returns at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Rome, where he is assigned at the Press Office as Counselor in charge for digital Communication. In that position he was also editorial coordinator of the Ministry\u2019s official website. In March 2017 he was appointed Chief of Staff of the Press and Communication Office of the Ministry.<\/p>\n

From September 2018 to August 2022, he served as First Counselor and Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Italy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

As of September 1st 2022 he is Consul General of Italy in Guangzhou.<\/p>\n

Valerio De Parolis was awarded Italian National Honours (Cavaliere dell\u2019Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana).<\/p>\n

Fluent in English, French and German.
